Join Kimberly Jenkins, lecturer, researcher and consultant who specializes in the sociocultural and historical influences behind why we wear what we wear. Jenkins currently holds a position as Assistant Professor of Fashion Studies at Ryerson University, having formerly taught at Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute in New York for seven years. She is best known for creating the course, Fashion and Race, at Parsons and for working as an education consultant for Gucci to support their efforts on cultural inclusion and diversity. In 2017, Kim developed an institutionally-funded online research project called The Fashion and Race Database and curated her first exhibition, Fashion and Race: Deconstructing Ideas, Reconstructing Identities in 2018.
