Chess for Charity began out of a desire to bring the community together through the game of chess while also supporting local treasures such as museums, gardens, and small businesses. The Cummer Museum is excited to partner with this Jacksonville organization to host a rated chess tournament in the Cummer Gardens. Registration is limited to 30 players and includes entry into the tournament, as well as admission into the Museum and Gardens. All players will also receive a complimentary Family Pass to return to the Museum for another visit. Make sure to register today to reserve your spot! 

Tournament details:
This is a RATED Chess tournament for players of all ages. Standard Swiss, 3 rounds, 20 minute game with a 5 second delay. Open / under 1500 / under 1000 sections but subject to change based on number of registrations. 

The cost includes your admission to the Cummer Museum of Arts & Gardens. This registration confirms your reservation for the museum.

Please note:
In the case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled and your registration fee will be shifted to a new date. 

What to bring:
Bring your ACTIVE USCF number. All chess materials, including clocks, will be provided. This tournament will be held outdoors so dress accordingly depending on the weather.

Hungry:
You can order a boxed lunch from the Cummer Cafe to enjoy in the Garden or click here to make a reservation to dine at the Cafe. (No outside food or beverage is permitted.)
